Causes and treatment methods of permanent magnet variable frequency air compressor

As an advanced and mature production technology and equipment, permanent magnet variable frequency air compressors are widely used in many fields such as steel, petroleum, electrical appliances, feed, pharmaceutical, chemical, power plants, printing, food and so on. Do you know the problem caused by the water in the air compressor and how to deal with it?

 

First, the accumulation of condensate results in incorrect oil level readings

According to the operating requirements of the permanent magnet variable frequency air compressor, the air compressor should have a minimum running time to prevent the formation of condensate, because the condensate will rust the cylinder valve plate and the body parts. Accumulation of condensate in the crankcase can cause incorrect oil level readings.

 

Water and oil cannot be mixed, and their coexistence can cause the oil to deteriorate quickly. The minimum operating time is usually not less than 10 minutes, which should be sufficient to heat the air compressor and allow the condensed water to evaporate. The current running time of the air compressor is 7 minutes, which obviously does not meet the requirements.


The second is that the moisture content of the exhaust gas of the permanent magnet inverter air compressor exceeds the standard seriously.

Due to the long standby time of the permanent magnet inverter air compressor, the moisture generated by the exhaust gas is collected around the pipeline and the check valve, so that the moisture returns to the inside of the casing, and the moisture content also increases accordingly. The lubricating oil gradually increases, and finally forms the lubricating oil of the permanent magnet variable frequency air compressor.

 

Bit alerts and downtime. When the machine was shut down, the outlet pipe of the air compressor was taken out. It was found that the milky white liquid in the pipe was flowing out, indicating that the moisture content of the exhaust gas of the permanent magnet variable frequency compressor was seriously exceeded.

 

Third, the gas-water separator does not separate the water produced during the compression process well.

A check valve is arranged on the water outlet pipe of the permanent-magnet frequency conversion air compressor. High-temperature, high-pressure, and humid air is exhausted through the air compressor exhaust valve. There is still a certain amount of oil and water components behind the cooler, although the permanent magnet variable frequency is empty.

 

The two-stage and three-stage intercoolers and final coolers are equipped with gas-water separators to separate the moisture generated during the compression process, but the actual operation results are not ideal.

 

Fourth, the automatic sewage solenoid valve

The bottom of the oil-water separator is provided with an automatic drain solenoid valve. The automatic drainage interval is set to 2 minutes and the sewage discharge time is set to 5 seconds. Without affecting the normal operation of the permanent magnet variable frequency air compressor, by increasing the sewage discharge time of the separator.

 

It can effectively extend the running time of the permanent magnet variable frequency air compressor and meet the minimum running time requirements of the air compressor. After trial operation, press the permanent-magnet inverter air compressor to start automatically. 4.15 ~ 4.40MPa stop, running time is greater than 11min.

 

Replace line check valve and install oil-water separator

In order to solve the problem of water entering the air compressor, the technicians replaced the well-sealed line check valve and installed a water-water separator with high water removal efficiency after the air compressor outlet line. The inside of the oil-water separator is filtered by a precision filter.


After the high-temperature compressed air enters the oil-water separator from the a port, it is directly intercepted by cyclone separation, inertial collision separation, and fine fiber filtration, directly retaining water and oil in the compressed air. The sewage outlet c is discharged, and the compressed air after the water is discharged through the outlet b to meet the needs of high-pressure gas.
